Museum

Museum and Bed and Breakfast Lammert Boerma was opened in 1993. The museum is located in Borgercompagnie (Gr.), a peat-colonial village, where Boerma was born as a farmer's son. The museum has approximately 450m² of floor space. This is spread over 13 rooms, including exhibition spaces, studios , workshop and living areas. In the gallery you can see paintings, portraits, sculptures, drawings and photos colored with oil paint and black and white photos (own shots). In fact, the life, work and living of Boerma is shown. In short, functioning as an artist. A kind of contemporary Rubens-Rembrandt house with the difference that this artist is still alive. The workshop contains an interesting collection of old-timer mopeds and motorcycles from the 50s and 60s.
